Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern all electrical contracting services provided by Bara Electrical Servicing Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our") to clients and property owners ("you", "the Client"). By accepting a quote, booking an electrician, or authorising electrical works, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Licensing & Regulatory Standards

All electrical works are performed by qualified, licensed electricians under Victorian Registered Electrical Contractor Licence REC 29064. All works comply with the Electricity Safety Act 1998 (Vic), AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules), and relevant Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) requirements.

2. Quotations & Pricing

• Free Estimates: Quotations provided online or over the phone are indicative estimates based on information supplied by the Client.
• Fixed Quotes: Firm quotations are confirmed following an on-site physical inspection of the switchboard, earthing systems, and wiring infrastructure.
• Variations: If concealed faults, asbestos, outdated non-compliant wiring, or hazardous existing conditions are discovered during work, we will promptly notify the Client and provide a revised quote before proceeding.

3. Emergency & After-Hours Call-Outs

For urgent same-day call-outs, an emergency dispatch fee applies covering prompt travel and initial diagnostic hazard isolation. Any subsequent repair parts or major works will be quoted transparently on-site before execution.

4. Certificates of Electrical Safety (COES)

As required by Energy Safe Victoria, a Certificate of Electrical Safety (Prescribed or Non-Prescribed as applicable) will be issued upon completion and full settlement of eligible electrical installation and modification works.

5. Workmanship & Product Warranties

• Workmanship Guarantee: We stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship with a comprehensive workmanship guarantee on all installations.
• Manufacturer Warranties: Equipment, EV chargers, switchboard components, and smart home hardware carry warranties provided directly by the respective manufacturers.

6. Payment Terms

Payment terms are clearly stated on each invoice. For residential services, settlement is due upon job completion unless a commercial account arrangement has been pre-agreed in writing.
