Why is My Power Point Not Working?

A power point stops working when its dedicated circuit breaker or safety switch (RCBO) has tripped, an upstream safety switch has isolated the circuit, or internal mechanical switch contacts have failed. If multiple power points along a wall are dead, a loose loop-through terminal in an adjacent socket is often responsible.

How Power Point Circuits Operate
